The Accountability Tracker is a project of the Institute for Security Studies (ISS) and its partners.Institute for Security Studies (ISS)
The Institute for Security Studies (ISS) is an African organisation established in 1991, focused on promoting sustainable peace, development, and prosperity on the continent. It employs a unique operational model that combines research, policy analysis, technical assistance, and training. The ISS has extensive experience collaborating with law enforcement agencies and international networks to gain evidence-based insights into the challenges of the criminal justice system, particularly concerning the combating of corruption. We have expertise in collecting and analysing large volumes of data and information, often by developing complex databases. This is then used to enhance the understanding of security-related challenges and institutional performance. The ISS is committed to using its data analysis capabilities to track and assess the anti-corruption performance of various state agencies to identify areas for policy, regulatory, legislative, and practical improvements.
